Frequently asked questions and information on the day
【Q、Must-have portable toilet】
From the perspective of nature conservation in the national park, portable toilets are now mandatory equipment. 100km runners will be checked for portable toilets during the equipment check, so please do not forget to bring them with you.
In addition, portable toilet booths will be set up in the mountain section at the beginning of the 100km course (scheduled to be Nokkiri and Teragoya), so you can use them during the race. Please take the portable toilet you have used to the next aid station and dispose of it there. You can exchange it for a replacement portable toilet at the aid station.
【Q、Reception venue and time】
Registration for 100km runners will be from 15:00 to 19:00 on Friday, July 4th, the day before the race.
Registration will be at the Ichinose Parking Lot, the start and finish venue. If you check in at your accommodation after registration, you can still register for the race after checking in.
Registration for the 55km and 21km racers will be at Ichinose Parking Lot, the start and finish point, whether it is the day before or the day of the race.
【Q、"Food truck booth" at the start and finish area of the event】
Since the race finish times are long and take place from late at night to early in the morning, and it is difficult to provide dinner at the accommodations, a food truck booth will be set up at the start and finish areas where meals can be served.
Anyone can use the booths for a fee, including racers, supporters, and race staff.
The menu currently planned is as follows:
Chicken bento, curry, pasta
Ramen, fries, hot dogs, hot sandwiches
Takoyaki, tacos, burritos, drinks
※Food and drink booths will be set up during the day on Saturday, however some of the menu items and content may differ from those of the food trucks available at night.
※Evening stalls will open one after another after 4pm.
【Q、Award ceremony】
The awards ceremony for the 100km runners will be held at 10:00 on Sunday, July 6th after the race at the Orchestra Hall on the 2nd floor of Hotel Japan Shiga. It will be 200m away from the competition venue.
The awards ceremony for the 55km and 21km runners will be held at the start/finish venue from around 15:30 on the day of the race.
【Q、Depo bag】
100km runners can leave their bags at the Ichinose aid station (3A and 6A) near the start and finish areas.
Basically, you will need to leave your bags in the designated area yourself (this does not apply to 55km and 21km runners).
・Please bring your belongings to Ichinose Aid Station (3A/6A) before the start (4:00-4:20).
・We have tents available for depositing your bags, so please place them wherever you like there.
・The event organizers will not be providing special bags, etc. Please bring your own.
・There are no restrictions on size, but please be considerate as this is a space that players will have to share.
・There are monkeys in the area. Food and anything that emits a smell must be sealed (plastic bags are not acceptable). We strongly recommend using a cooler box so you can drink cold drinks.
・After the race, please collect your belongings by yourself. Please do not leave any expensive or valuable items behind (we are not responsible for such items).
・Please refrain from leaving luggage or other behavior that may cause inconvenience to others.
・To protect against monkeys, any remaining depot bags will be moved to the start/finish area at around 12:30am when the 6A Ichinose aid station finishes. We recommend that you write your name or bib number on the bag so that you can identify it as yours. After the bags are moved, the organizers will not be handing them over to you, so please pick them up yourself. (Any bags remaining the next day will be disposed of.)
